Summiting Sahale is a three to four day adventure (depending on weather) in the Northern Cascades. The route is approximately 17 miles round trip and requires 5000-6000ft of elevation gain. This area boasts views of the Stehekin valley and into the heart of the North Cascades, and great sunrises and sunsets from camp.
Summiting Sahale is a strenuous activity. While getting to basecamp and the hikes around the mountain are intermediate, summiting is an advanced activity.

This region is the wide spanning ancestral homeland of various Indigenous people groups--the peoples of the Columbia River Basin to the east and those of the Pacific Northwest/Puget Lowlands to the west. As we recreate on these lands, we seek to steward it well through protection, preservation, and care in an effort to honor these tribes' culture and ties to the forest, rivers, lakes, and mountains.
