Partner Organizations In Need During COVID-19

Street Youth Ministries

Everything we do at Peak 7 is built around the people we serve. And we recognize that right now, our partner organizations are in need of some extra support!⁣

One of those is our friends over at Street Youth Ministries. Their mission is to provide youth in Seattle’s University District with life skills, resources, and relationships that bring hope and healing to their lives and the community.⁣

Open House Ministries

Since 2014, we’ve had the pleasure of organizing overnight rafting trips for Open House Ministries

“On last summer’s trip, one of the things that stood out to me was how much joy the kids experienced just hiking up the hill near Maupin to look out over the river. These pictures remind me of having that experience with them, where something I’ve done so many times became an incredible adventure as they soaked in the wide open spaces.”⁣ – Sara-Anne Kichenmaster, Oregon program coordinator

In light of COVID-19, Open House Ministries has had to close their thrift stores and a majority of their volunteers are now sheltering in place. Please consider visiting their website at www.sheltered.org to make a donation and assist them in providing shelter, intervention, and life-changing programs to homeless youth in Southwest Washington!

Shepherd’s House Ministries

Shepherd’s House Ministries has been on rafting trips with us for a while now, but their mission to serve homeless in Bend, Oregon is something that we’re in awe of each year: ⁣

“We strive to feed the hungry and to shelter the homeless, but our deeper aim is to walk alongside the hurting and the needy to effectively address the life-controlling issues that perpetuate the long-term cycles of pain and homelessness. In an environment of grace, our goal is not to modify behavior. Our goal is to see hearts healed and lives changed from the inside out.” ⁣

Along with many organizations, they’re in need of additional support right now. Head to www.shepherdshouseministries.org/covid-19-emergency-needs to learn more!

Tacoma Rescue Mission

Tacoma Rescue Mission has been serving the hurting and homeless population of Tacoma and Pierce county for over 100 years – providing food, shelter, and addiction recovery services as a pathway out of poverty.⁣

Although trips with our team may be a small part of their incredible history of serving people, we hope we can do OUR part in bringing attention to their needs during this time.⁣
