Volunteering with Peak 7

Whether you climb, hike, paddle, or simply love serving youth, we can use your help! Since the organization’s start-up about a decade ago, Peak 7 has guided about 28,000 participants on various outdoor trips. We are committed to exposing youth to the outdoors because we witness the positive transformations that do not just last a moment but actually change the trajectories of young men and women’s lives. This can look like anything from “dropping” back into school, desiring to serve their families, trusting in themselves, auditioning for school clubs, pursuing outdoor careers, or having confidence to speak about their own stories. Youth learn technical skills but also develop resiliency and grit, perseverance and  diligence, and humility and kindness. We continually hear of the monumental impacts in underserved youth from our trips, and it fuels us to serve more participants and to create even more outdoor opportunities for marginalized youth. More participants and opportunities means that we need more help!

Hands-on outdoor opportunities include:

  • Snowshoeing trips (Mt. Spokane/Seattle area)
  • Climbing trips (Vantage, Minnehaha, Post Falls/Exit 38 and Seattle area)
  • Driving shuttle for rafting trips
  • Photography

Other opportunities:

  • Fundraising Events (Banquets, Bocce Ball, etc.)
  • Warehouse work
  • Office aids

Whatever you’re into, we would love to have you. The first steps in volunteering are downloading an application, mailing/emailing it back to us, and including $20 for a background check.

Volunteering on a Peak 7 adventure trip can sometimes be as influential for the guides and volunteers as it is the participants. There’s nothing better than witnessing the first smile on a hardened, stoic kid during the biggest rapids, helping a scared young woman/man muster up the courage to lower himself over the edge for a rappel, or telling a participant that they can do it and persevere when no one else has told him/her that before.

We are looking for encouraging, friendly volunteers that love youth and are committed to making a positive impact in their lives. All volunteers must have a committed relationship with Christ, evident in their lives and belief systems. He/she must be able to sign and comply with our “statement of faith” located in the volunteer application. Feel free to contact me with any questions you have, any new volunteering ideas, or for more information on where you can serve.

We hope to see you in our office, in our inbox, or on our trips soon!

Volunteering with Peak 7 can be a remarkable experience. If you would like to volunteer, please download an application and mail it back to us, along with $20.00 to cover a required background check.
